My approach to working with individuals is generally psychodynamic talk therapy, in that I believe we need to explore ourselves beyond the outermost veneer to unlock our stuck points and move forward.
We often do things that we don’t want to do, for reasons difficult to understand. And we do them again, and again, and again.
In today’s world relationships come in so many variations. Gender roles, sexual practices, family constellations, and society’s take on all of the above make for some dizzying complications, which, when added to two people trying to be partners for an extended time, often create havoc.
Daniel has years of experience running support groups and therapy groups, the former being less in depth and more for mutual support to help weather a difficult situation or generally overwhelming life events, while the latter are meant to explore unconscious processes in the hopes of seeing significant changes in temperament, mood, functioning, and behaviors.

Having said that, I treat everyone as a unique person (or couple, or group) who deserves the respect of a course of treatment particular to you, and that can include attention to mindfulness, exercise, diet, work, play, past, present, and future. Sometimes we’ll talk about childhood, and other times I will assign homework related to taking baby steps towards a concrete goal. There is no one-size-fits-all.
